(2), 1864 2d. vermilion singles (2) and horizontal pair, scarce 6d. dull ultramarine (2) and dull blue,1865 1d. pale sale green horizontal pair, 1866 9d. TEN PENCE overprint, 1867-70 1d. bright yellow green with exceptional fresh colour, 1868 1d.
bright green,1869 1d. deep yellow green, 1870/1 6d. indigo with unusual vertically misplaced perforations, 1870/3 9d. TEN PENCE overprint, 1876-1900 selection including useful range of shades and perforations, unusual 6d. Prussian blue and 6d.

pair used on 1856 cover from Adelaide to Magill, tied by oval grill obliterators in black, with "PAID / ADELAIDE SA" datestamp alongside in red (June 4), cut into at base and top right side of second stamp otherwise good to large margins, with

1844 (July 11): Entire letter from Adelaide rated '6d.' prepaid in red and '5d.' in black
manuscript for amount due upon arrival, struck on reverse with oval framed "? / GENERAL POST OFFICE / ADELAIDE / S.A." datestamp (July 11) in black. Interesting content concerning selling 1'300 sheep at 5/6d. per head and "I have just received a
letter from Robert (Leake) where he says he has settled at a place called Lake Leake, he has had an attack by the Blacks twice losing 50 of the sheep, shooting one black and wounding another...several copper mines found also lead mines...". A fine
entire.rnrnNote: The entire was written by Robert Leake, son of John Leake (1780-1865), who arrived with his family in Van Diemen's Land in May 1823 on the 'Andromeda'. A successful banker and farmer, he was later a member of the Legistlative Council
