B/stamped (excl. 2½d) with Type FD3 'FOX-BAY' c.d.s, dated 'JU 5 68.' Trivial cover blemishes, still fine and attractive group. 327 image1850-2008 extensive U collection neatly presented and written up in four albums with a wonderfully comprehensive range of issues, fine condition throughout (particularly so with the difficult early issues) and lacking only a handful of items. The collection commences with 5k blue and 10p rose stationery envelopes from Helingsfors to Tavastehus and Tammerfors to Frericshamm respectively (these are very scarce and seldom offered), then 1856 5k blue with boxed cancel (Gummesson Cert), a second example with 'Helsingfors' single ring cancel, 10p rose with single ring cancel and another with pen cancel. An attractive group of the roulette issues follows, very fine for these, with 1860 5k blue and 10k rose (3 shades with another on cover front), 1866 5p, 10p, 8p & 20p (5 of each), 40p (3) and the very scarce 1m with 'Ewois' c.d.s. Two covers also, one bearing 20p (2) to St. Petersburg (corner fault), the other 8p (3) & 40p (2) to Paris (faults but a very scarce multiple franking). The 'Arms' issues follow with 1875 32p, 1875 P.11 to 32p (6) with shades plus 1m (2), 1885 to 1m plus 5m and 10m (scarce), P.12½ to 1m (2), 1889 to 10m (both), 1891 to 7r (scarce issues), 1901 to 10m (3) etc. Then the various defin issues with 1925-27 to 25m (2) and the issues to 2008. Also includes extensive covers incl. Zeppelin mail. A superb collection, enormous catalogue and lovely quality. Well worth viewing. (Image) (Image2) (Image3) (All Images)
