 SOUTH WEST AFRICA (EXPEDITION ON THE ZAMBEZI) 1899 Angola 20reis card to Berlin, cancelled MOSSAMEDES10 AU.99 written by botanist Hugo Baum at the start of the Kunene-Zambezi expedition on behalf of the Colonial Economic
Committee in Berlin, that explored the Kunene, Kubango, Kuito and Kuando Rivers, returning to the coast 26.6.1900. Baum collected over 1000 plant samples of which over 300 proved to be new species. One of only two known items from this Expedition.
