108 image EXTENSIVE PRECANCEL ACCUMULATION OF OVER 400,000, includes singles, pairs, blocks and some plate blocks, contained in 36 cover boxes with windowed envelopes which are sorted by state and then town or city, many envelopes of the same town have a variety of issues with that cancel, the overall quality is mixed which is the norm for this area, obviously there is duplication but also tremendous variety of issues and towns, we did not look through this lot for better cancels but it is likely there are many better cancels and towns scattered throughout this lot, some of the states with higher counts include: CA(23,750), CT(7,300), IL(6,700), IN(6,000), IA(7,400), MD(5,500), MA(16,800), MI(10,400), MN(9,500), MO(22,600), NJ(7,000), NY(24,000), OH(29,600), PA(30,000), TX(8,200), WA(5,700), WI(11,000); and then not included in the above totals - Chicago(38,000) and N.Y. City(33,000); there are also two boxes of duplicates sorted by state and town, these two boxes account for about (50,000) of the overall total, we noticed there are hundreds of varieties here which include inverts, splits, double and triple overprints, also a number of other varieties, this lot is very well organized and will be easy to work with for the eventual buyer, we have included a number of scans to help a bidder to see the scope of this accumulation, there must have been hundreds and hundreds of hours putting this group into the order it is in, a very rare opportunity to pull in a huge number of stamps and a significant variety of towns and issues, (ENV 10,000-12,500) (Image)
