 1947 and 1948 a pair of airmail covers from Tientsin and Shanghai to Morshansk, USSR, f.w. SYS and Martyrs ovpt. CNC and Gold Yuan issues. Given the Chinese Civil War, airmails from ROC to USSR are rather scarce since the end
of WWII.

 1948 Tientsin (21 Nov) to USA. Airmail cover, f.w. Shanghai Dah Tung Print SYS $300,000 x14, in total of $4.2 million, tied by Tientisn bilingual cds. The proper international airmail rate should be Gold Yuan $7. However, this
letter was still paying the old rate Gold Yuan $1.35 (= CNC $4.05 million) which was effective until 18 Nov 1948. Continued example of old postage rate.
