 1862 and 1864 a pair of concessionary covers from the British Navy member in China to England via Marseilles, f.w. QV stamps in value of 6d and 10d respectively. As the rate for military personnel was 6d (via Southampton) or
10d (via Marseilles), the 6d cover was preculiar.

Arrived Hong Kong (21 May). One of the two known mais to Hong Kong bearing this B.P.P. h.s.
