 1901 USA (2 Oct) to Frans Aug Larson, Kraketa, Russia, rediretced to Kiachta but missent to Kiao- chow, returned to sender. , f.w. US 1c + 2c in pair, tied by Albany meter stamp. Missent to Tsingtau German PO (25 Feb) given the
similar spelling between "Kiachta" and "Kiaochow". Showing Tsingtau German PO and Kiachta Russian PO transit cds subsequently. Returned to USA DPO (3 May 1902). Postage due 10c was leived with finger pointer and US postage due 5c in pair, along with
USA reseal label. Addressee Frans Aug Larson was a Swedish misssionary to Mongolia. He was appointed Duke of Mongolia in 1920. He also served as the consultant of Yuan Shi-kai for Mongolian affairs as well as took part in Sven Hedin's expedition.

美國寄俄國 之拉爾森，改寄恰克圖但誤寄膠州，退回寄件人。貼美國票1分 分雙 連，銷 機戳。因恰克圖及膠州之外文拼法相似而誤寄膠州，先後鈐青島德局及恰克圖俄局中轉戳。 後退回美國死信局。被罰欠資10美分，貼美國欠資票5分雙連並重封。收件人拉爾森為瑞典傳教士，於 1920年被封為蒙古公爵。他曾擔任袁世凱的蒙古事務顧問，並多次陪同斯文赫定遠行。出色精彩。(Image 1)
