stationed in Gangtok from June 1921 to October 1928.

 1939 Benares to Lhasa, f.w. Indian KGV 1a on reverse, tied by Benares cds. Arrived Pharijong BPO (21 May). On front with forged "Opened by Censor / FPO 70 / Gyantse Tibet" marking. It is said that this forged mark was created
by an Indian-Nepali dealer Lodh in the 1980s.

 1936 Mountaineering expedition cover to England via Gangtok, frankless. On front with Everest type G handfilled h.s. On reverse with Skkim oval seal and a label explaining the late delivery of the mail. On 6 Jul 1936, the
expedition returned to Gangtok and found that all the mails since April were not delivered. Unsent mails were found in the postmaster’s house. He was arrested for stealing mails. He was released in 1937 after appeal. 494 out of 1000 missing mails
were retrieved.
1936年登山探險隊封經甘托克寄英國。正面蓋有額峰G型戳記。背面鈐錫金橢圓戳記及貼有一張闡述郵件遲遞之原因。1936年7月6日，登山隊回到甘托克，發現4月以來的郵件無一寄達。支局局長的房子中發現了未寄出的郵件。他隨後因偷取郵件被捕並入獄，在1937年上訴後獲釋。1000件未寄郵件中有494件被追回。(Image 1)

 1936 Everest Mountaineering expedition cover to England, stolen and recovered, bearing Everest type G cachet. Attached with a slip explaining the failure of delivery was due to the fault of the postmaster. In Jul 1936, the
members of expedition found that their mails were not delivered and were retrieved in the office of the Gangtok postmaster. He was arrested for stealing mails. Interesting.
1936年珠穆朗瑪峰登山隊封寄英國，被盜後尋回，鈐有額峰type
G戳記。貼有字條解釋郵件因甘托克郵局局長而無法送遞。他本人已被捕。1936年7月，登山隊成員發現寄出的信件無法寄達，並在支局長的辦公室內尋回信件。他因此被判入獄。有趣。(Image 1)
