 1844 (18 Mar) Manila, Philipiness to Augustine Heard & Co, Canton. Entire, sent “Surat”, along with double-ringed “BRITISH GOVERNMENT AGENCY OFFICE / MACAO” type 1-3-1 seal in red and Hong Kong Post Office Webb type 4
“Royal Arms” oval seal. One of the two recorded examples in combination of these two handstamps. Cover No. 464 in “A Survey and Recorded of Pre-Adhesive Period Postal History of Macau 1616-1891” by Choi Cheong Too. One of the 82 covers applied with

 1870.12.26 Packet front, from Macao to the Chief Postmaster in Lisbon, sent “Via GIBRALTAR” and rated “56sh” in red ink, f.w. Hong Kong QV 96c x 14, tied by B62 obliterator. Alongside bearing Crowned “PAGO EM MACAO” type 2-7-1
postmark, Macao index B type 3-3-2 cds and Gibraltar transit c.d.s. Only 3 covers (all fronts) with such large multiple franking are known. It is also the earliest recorded example of the Crowned “PAGO EM MACAO” type 3-3-2 postmark. Cover No. 871 in

1870.12.26總包封皮封面，自澳門經香港寄里斯本郵政總長，郵資56先令，貼香港維多利亞女皇像96仙票14枚，銷B62殺手戳。下方蓋有皇冠“PAGO EM MACAO”2-7-1型澳門郵資已付戳、澳門B字3-3-2型日戳及直布羅陀中轉戳。類似的澳門總包封皮僅見三件（均只有封面），此同為“PAGO EM MACAO”2-7-1型戳記之最早例子。

scarce destination. On 21 Jun 1900, Empress Dowager declared war. This cover was sent during the peak of hostility.
