176 image1929 Postal Union Congress ½d - 2½d in specially prepared imperforate miniature sheets of four with marginal lines on white glazed paper mounted in sunken gilt edged card frames, with an accompanying letter from the Post Office Secretary, Sir G.E.P Murray to Campbell Dodgson forwarding these proofs on behalf of the Postmaster General. Only a tiny number of miniature sheets were prepared for presentation purposes; Campbell Dodgson was a member of the Committee that selected the designs for these stamps. Superb and very rare. 180 1934 1d and 1½d Photogravure colour trials in the issued colours, affixed to separate parcel pieces, cancelled London Parcel Section trial cancels in red, each piece endorsed "stamp impression when used on soft parcel", with a photocopy of a B.P.A Certificate issued for an identical item bearing a 1½d orange-brown colour trial. S.G. £2,000 for the 1½d trial, the similar 1d trial unlisted. (2).

A unique and attractive essay page that would display well on an album page, endorsed "seen by Stuart Rose & George York 29.5.74", with pencil notes on the colours alongside each essay, 233x205mm.
