Very rare and possibly unique from this crash. An unusual destination for mail from this crash. (2). Est. £100-120 Closing..May-07, 02:00 AM EST. 1691 1954 (Mar 12) Cover from Sydney to London franked 10/-, fire damaged at top, with two strikes of red boxed "SALVAGED MAIL / AIRCRAFT CRASH / SINGAPORE 13.3.1954", forwarded within a very large and long ambulance envelope (40x15cm) with printed "DIRECTOR OF POSTS / SINGAPORE" and "ON HER MAJESTYS SERVICE" heading (with a bar through "ON HIS MAJESTYS SERVICE"), the ambulance envelope also with two strikes of the Salvaged Mail cachet, ambulance envelope a little creased but very rare in this large size.
