A cover of Nov 27th probably carried on the final Clipper flight, the Dec 3rd cover missing this flight and not received until January 27th. (10).

1534 1949 (Sep 19) Long cover from Singapore to G.B franked 20c, handstamped by large boxed handstamp "AIR MAIL POSTAGE / INSUFFICIENTLY PREPAID / TO BE FORWARDED BY SEA" with diagonal bars, one strike correctly applied across the printed Air Mail label, two further strikes on the front and reverse. Unusual and scarce, not recorded by Proud.

1538 1931 (Dec 2) Cover from Singapore to London franked 36c for air mail by KLM from Alor Star to Amsterdam, delayed at Alor Star due to the crash of KLM plane near Bangkok, the mail subsequently carried by the rescue plane "Southern Star" piloted by C. Kingsford Smith. Also three Australia to England first flight covers recovered from the KLM crash and carried by "Southern Star". Fine, the 56c rate only lasted for one month in December 1931. (4).

1539 1935 (July 12) Cover from Kerala Batas to England franked 55c, stained and severely burnt, recovered from KLM "Maraboe" which crashed near Bushire on July 17 and was burnt out; 25kg of mail was removed and forwarded on the "Rietvink". Also a 1945 cover from Chungking to India franked $8.50 on reverse, burnt at left, endorsed "Damaged in Air Crash Singapore" above handstruck "3 MAR", Bombay arrival backstamp, nothing recorded about this incident and this cover offered "as-is". (2).

1540 1935 (Dec 24) Cover from London to Singapore, recovered from Imperial Airways "City of Khartoum" which crashed into the sea near Alexandria on Dec. 31st killing twelve passengers and crew, the stamp washed off, enclosed within a Dead Letter Office Singapore ambulance envelope with red Official Paid c.d.s (Jan 13), fine and scarce. (2).

1541 1935 (Dec 26) Cover from G.B to Singapore, ½d and 1½d pairs cancelled at Harrow with two other stamps washed off, enclosed in a Dead Letter Office Singapore ambulance envelope with red Official Paid c.d.s (Jan 13), with Singapore G.P.O printed slip explaining that it was salvaged from the "City of Khartoum" wrecked off Alexandria on Dec. 31st. Scarce with both the ambulance envelope and enclosed explanatory slip. (3).

1542 1936 (Aug 12-15) Covers to G.B, two from Singapore franked 25c or 10c with two further stamps removed, both handstamped "DAMAGED BY SEA / WATER" in black of red, a cover franked Perak 25c tied by Bagan Datch c.d.s with "Damaged By SEA WATER", and a cover from Kepong with all stamps washed off handstamped violet boxed "DAMAGED BY WATER", all recovered from Imperial Airways "Scipio" which crashed into the sea near Crete on August 22nd with the loss of two lives.
