482 1937-38 Covers and cards all bearing the first Dhow issue, including April 1 1937 First Day Covers (2) bearing ½a - 1a + India 3p or ½a - 3½a to Ronaldsway, Isle of Man, delivered by West Coast Air Services Ltd; Mukalla datestamps on cover to Aden franked 1a (Sultan of Mukalla crest on flap) or cover to Germany franked 3½a redirected back to Aden; uprated postal stationery postcards (3, one registered, one on India postcard), envelopes (2) or registration envelope; Imperial Airways test letter to London; cover and postcard to Uganda; cover to Malta; cover franked 1a with Bombay "PAQUEBOT" handstamp, etc. An interesting collection, mainly commercial mail, this first Aden set in use for 21 months until replaced by the 1939 pictorial issue. 489 1935-39 Air Mail covers (also one 1946 cover) all from Jacques Meunie at the French Legation in Kabul to his wife or mother in Paris, thirteen carried by pouch to India and posted at Peshawar (12, two with Kabul return address) or Lahore with Indian stamps, another thirteen posted in Kabul with Afghanistan stamps totalling 1a75 (4), 1a90 (3), 3a15 (3) or 3a55 (3), six 1935-37 covers with transit datestamps of Landi-Kotal and Lahore, two 1939 covers censored in Peshawar. An interesting correspondence. (26).
