1156 1947 (Dec 3/8) Qantas Sydney to London first flight, covers from Calcutta carried on the outward and return flights, both pilot signed. Also 1948 U.S 10c airletter carried on the "Sky Merchant" world flight from Miami to New Zealand with datestamps of thirty places en route, including datestamps of seven offices in India. (3).

1159 1947 Independence Day, Post Office folder for the three stamps signed by the Director General P&T Dept. and inscribed and signed by the DDG PS, to A.R Binns (stamps removed & replaced by used stamps). Also the special "JAI HIND" datestamp on August 15 covers (6, also an air letter with standard c.d.s) and on later covers (4), and two covers to A. Binns with first day use of the Chalta Dak-Ghar Mobile P.O datestamps incorporating "Jai Hind" (with P.O letter to Binns, leaflet illustrating the Mobile P.O and news cuttings), all covers addressed abroad and sent by air mail.
