777 image1943 E.A.F 1d - 9d and M.E.F 1/- all overprinted SPECIMEN (11½x1¾mm san-serif capitals sloping to the right), all additionally handstamped "ULTRAMAR", fine mint. The E.A.F overprints unlisted with Specimen overprints by Samuel or S.G; the Ultramar handstamp however applied in Lisbon to U.P.U Specimens received for the Portuguese Colonies, apparently proving these Specimen overprints were sent out by the U.P.U. Air Sea Survey Flight first phase by S/Lr Livock & F/O Grierson in S.1162, cover to Singapore with blue "BY AIR MAIL" label and a Brunei c.d.s. on address side, the reverse franked 1c, 2c, 3c, 4c (2) and 5c to make up the correct 15c Air Fee + 4c postage rate, cancelled by three strikes of boxed "AIR MAIL / BRUNEI.", with Singapore arrival c.d.s.
