Public Auction No.9 (The "Edmonton" Collection) - August 29, 2026

Welcome to Garden City Philatelic Auctions’ 9th sale, featuring the “Edmonton” collection!

The “Edmonton” collection of mint and used countries of the world stamps was formed over a lifetime, and consists of over 300 different stamp issuing entities, in 417 lots. It is displayed on computer-generated pages using the Scott numbering system and order, with the many never hinged stamps protected in mounts. Most countries are well represented, and we have made the effort to offer each country individually and intact, although from time to time, select better singles and sets are offered separately.

Most of the lots in this sale contain stamps identified and valued by the owner, using Scott catalogues of various years from 2020 to 2025. In some cases, these values can be approximate, as we have amended several of the collector’s valuations or identifications, especially when they affected the value significantly. Lots containing singles or sets have been valued and identified by us, using the 2025 Scott catalogue. Our 3,500+ scans should prove useful to give one a good idea of the contents of each lot. Please use the useful “All Images” link at the end of each lot to see them all in one screen.

To help with your shipping costs, we have removed all the pages from their 3-ring binders. We hope this offering will hold something for everyone, whether it be collectors wishing to start or continue a specific country, or dealers looking for good clean material to resell.

All lots will be sold on Saturday August 29, 2026, with the sale starting at 08:00 AM Pacific time (11:00 AM Eastern time). Each lot is unreserved and starts at only C$50.

Our auctions are conducted in Canadian dollars, with a competitive 17% buyers’ fee. Registered users can place bids in advance of the sale by email, telephone or entering them directly in StampAuctionNetwork (recommended). Bidding can also be done live online via the SAN “AutoHammer” during the sale or using an agent. Don’t forget to hit “Request approval to bid” on this page (upper left) if you are new to us.
