BRALIA: 1856 Large three page “Bilet De Exportarea Cerealelor din Romania” (Ticket for Exportation of Cereals from Romania) disinfected document bearing negative quarantine stamp “Principality of the Country of Romania – Quarantine of the Braila Harbor” and a clear negative quarantine stamp “Point Islaz 1836”, dated September 2, 1856 (Dragomir type K24 - 4R, pg 25; see # 155 page 58 + Dragomir type K36 – 1.5R; see # fig 151 on page 58), rare combination of two negative quarantine seals

GALATZ: 1846 (8.10) Folded entire to Genoa, Italy, bearing blue straight-line “GALLATZ 8.OCT.” ds of the Austrian Post, with clear blue double oval Cyrillic cachet inscribed “SAU KURATIT LA KAPITANIA PORTULUI GALATZ” alongside, and disinfected at harbor master/Galatz), also showing Andrew’s Cross indicating the pre-paid nature of the cover, as well as a red “P.D.”. On entering Austrian territory, it was disinfected at the lazzaret of Boian and on reverse the cover bears a “RN 85” (Rauchen Nummer 85”) manuscript notation in black ink, indicating the 85th in a series of disinfections made that year, together with a black “Genoa 17Oct.” arrival postmark, usual Rastel holes indicating the disinfection (Dragomir type K44 – 8R; see #158 on page 58), very fine and scarce, rare combination of one quarantine Galatz negative seal + two Austrian Post(departure and arrival) stamps + PD & RD notations (Image)

GURA IALOMITEI: 1837 Postal document regarding a courier payment and containing two messages, the top message, dated April 25, is written by the Gura Ialomitei Post and confirms the receipt of 20 lei for a courier (stafeta) sent to the Calarasi Quarantine under No. 203, the second message below, dated April .., is written by the Gura Ialomitei Quarantine and confirms the receipt/handling of the said twenty lei, the document bears a 1834 type very clear, pictorial, negative seal of the Gura Ialomitei Quarantine station, extremely rare, apparently unique
Note: It is the only 1834 mark of the Gura Ialomitei Quarantine known on the philatelic market, the only known usage of a quarantine document in regards to a courier and the only one bearing the signature of both the post and the quarantine offices.
