1853 (Dec 10): Entire letter from Montserrat to Basingstoke, England prepaid '1/-' in red manuscript, struck with fine "♚ / PAID / AT / MONTSERRAT" in red, over-watered attempt at strike at right. Reverse with double arc 'Montserrat despatch cds in black (Dec 10) and London and Basingstoke (Jan 5, 1854) datestamps on obverse.
