SPANISH CUBA: An album containing a very well presented, written up collection, c1855 to c1930s inc. early stamped and unstamped covers: June 1885, Havana to Barcelona with Alfonso XII 1883 issue; Similar, January 1892 with 'Baby Head' 10C.de Peso of 1890; Cienfuegos to New York, Jan 1863, unstamped, in English, with 'Steamship 10' circular charge mark. Also noted: SG1, SG4, SG5, SG23 - 1866 overprint '66' mint, SG41 - 1869 10c brown overprint with example of overprint variation, SG44 - 1870 mint. The collection also inc. a well-represented Telegraph collection, c1868 to c1896. With shade varieties and other examples of interest, such as bisect use and overprint varieties, there is a group of ‘MUESTRA’, (specimen), overprints in red on the ‘Boy King’ issue (1886 -1931).
