image 1874 (June 5): Great Britain 1873 3 d. rose pl. 12 and 1865 4 d. vermilion pl. 13 used on 1874 cover from Bahia to Bordeaux endorsed 'p. Galicia', cancelled by fine strike of the "C81" obliterator with 'Bahia' datestamp in black below (June 4). 'London / Paid' and circular 'PD' applied in red (June 30) on obverse with Calais transit and arrivals on reverse (July 1). Slightest of aging to perfs. but a fine and unusual cover - the 3 d. rose plate 12 was not issued to any British Post Office in Brazil and this is the latest reccorded usage of British stamps from this Office.
