1865 Large fragment franked by 1856 3c carmine together with French Napoleon III 80c carmine, both tied by neat target cancel, ST.THOMAS 24/10 1865 despatch cds together with French entry marking ST.THOMAS 24 OCT 65 PAQ.FR.B N°2, also red boxed PD, 80c for the single rate to France by French packet and DWI 3c for the local rate.

1866 Folded entire from St.Thomas to Randers/Denmark, ST:THOMAS 23 6 1866 despatch cds, French ST.THOMAS 26 JUIN 66 PAQ. FR. B N°2 alongside with French boxed F/43 accountancy marking, the letter was locally franked by 1856 DWI 3c carmine tied by target cancel. This local postage was however not necessary since the 1st January 1866. Stamp repaired and replaced, an extraordinary mixed country franking, sold as is (Image)
