Covers, 1875-1992, misc. collection, including: 1. A few early issues, including 5¢ Bank Note (179) pair on cover to London, a 1904 advertising cover, and a 1934 Little America cover from Antarctica. Estimate $75; 2. Regular and commemorative issue FDC's, including #611 (2¢ Harding imperf on a Nickles FDC, catalog value $90), $5 Hamilton and $5 Moore. This group catalogs approximately $150; 3. A complete set of Famous Americans FDC's. Catalog value $150; 4. Airmail covers. A large group, mainly FDCs (catalog value $3955) + some first flights (not counted). Best are a C10a + 645 FDC (catalog value $1000) and a C18 legal-size FDC flown on a Zepp flight (catalog value $295). There are several covers cataloging $50 to $100 each. There is some duplication in this section - up to 3 each. 5. A 1¢ postal card from Puerto Rico (UX1), unused, Fine to Very Fine, catalog value $165. Condition is good for the period: earlier FDC's are typically cacheted and addressed, later cacheted and unaddressed. Main value is clearly in the better early airmail covers but there are many other useful extras thrown in. A sampling is imaged on the web. Shipping weight 3.8 lbs / 1.7 kilos.
