Cat No: 1824
1824 over 2 PCGS VG Detail Tooled. Obviously cleaned but maintains some of its original color and is still attractive overall. PCGS is noting it as "tooled" because a previous attempt to remove dirt left light scratches by the date. Magnification is required to see the marks clearly. Fifty years ago the 1824 was no more expensive than other dates of the Bust series. But its value has increased dramatically as its true scarcity became more well known. (Image)

Cat No: 1793
1793 Liberty Cap Facing Left Fair-2. The coin is easily identified though the date is very weak. The Cohen Number is likely C2. Despite the extensive wear, it is amazing that there is no corrosion or any other problem worth mentioning. This is the first 1793 Half Cent we have offered in quite some time. Worth a look! (Image)

1877 AG w/ light damage. Perhaps struck by a blunt object long, long ago, the coin subsequently circulated long enough to smooth out the surfaces. The color is a pleasing medium brown, and there is virtually no corrosion worth mention. A great filler for the right collection. (Image)

1864-L AU+ Detail - Cleaned. There was an attempt to recolor the coin but darkener does not take well on wood-grained planchets. This variety of the 64-L is the one with a large die crack going through the 6 in the date. There are also dramatic clashed dies on this coin. Though it has a few stray marks, it is still desirable.
