He carried three letters from the King of Spain to the Presidents of Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina. The 10,270 km journey was completed in 59 hours and 39 minutes. After this famous flight he returned to Montevideo (Feb 25) and on March 1 he was given by the General Post Master 14 letters to carry back to Buenos Aires, before returning to Spain. The event appeared in most of the major newspapers worldwide.
