Carried on PSNC Steamer from Mazatlan to Panama where struck with three line dated "PANAMA / TRANSIT" (Jan 19) in black. The quickest service was to London and then South again to Brazil via the RMSP "Tamar" to St. Thomas and the "Atrato" to Southampton. In London marked with "RETURNED / FOR POSTAGE" (another strike is under the stamps with "2/11d." in manuscript) and reverse with three London datestamps (Feb 13 and Feb 15 in red).
