An extraordinary botanical usage. [Affixed within are dried wildflowers & four small photographs, three of the elusive & reclusive Herbert Appleby] See also Lots 1-5, 212 & 227.

image ENVELOPES - STAMPED TO ORDER: 1916 6d grey-blue linen-lined envelope (235x177mm) with printed 'Wool Sample only' at U/L & a London address, the flap still attached, minor edge discolouration at right - clear of the stamp impression - and at the base otherwise very fine unused, Cat $6000. A key item for the Kangaroo enthusiast. Rare & one of the most sought-after Australian postal stationery issues. [The ACSC states that only "about six examples are recorded", of which at least a couple have had the flap removed. The last example we are aware of sold at a Melbourne auction in 2014 for $7487]
