Italy 1950/1957: "Italia al lavoro" - "Italy at Work", the Italian definitves series designed by Corado Mezzana which represents the spirit of the "New Italy" after world war 2 and the founding of the republic. Different watermarks, printing varieties, perfins are present in the stamp part of this collection, as well as around 100 mail items with single and multiple frankings e.g. a "Estratto conto" with a single franking of the 1 L or an postal ID card with the 200 L.
