Cecco, who signed the Convention of alliance between Sardinia and Turkey against Russia, one cover displaying the earliest usage recorded of the Sardinian postmarks in Crimea, incoming mail including a rare redirected mail from a hospital in Jeni-Koi to the front with two different Italian military cancellations in black and red, note from the Director of the Sardinian Military Mail in Constantinople to the Chief of Staff of the Sardinian contingent in Kardi-Koi, in which the sender assures that his office will forward the foreign incoming newspapers as quick as possible through the French and Austrian ("German" in the text) P.O.'s in Constantinople, "La Gazzetta Piemontese" newspaper publishing the tariffs for outgoing and incoming mail of the Sardinian contingent in Crimea, III issue 20c (cert. Sorani) and IV issue 20c (2) single frankings (one with cert. Colla) on three covers with "R.a Posta Mil.e Sarda" cds, two double rate stampless covers, scarce correspondence between military members from Crimea to Constantinople incl. one carried by a mercenary Neapolitan ship with framed "Mer Noire", two III and three IV issue stamps with Sardinian Army cds's, etc. Viewing highly recommended for this comprehensive, most interesting and rare lot.
