image 1895-98 2 1/2d (type 6) on 1a6p sepia showing surcharge double, one albino (with the albino impression offset on reverse) and variety "second z Gothic" (with inverted 'q' for 'b' as usual), mint og, almost certainly from R7/5 in a late setting of 60 (corresponding to that used for SG 44/6, opts on B.E.A.), very fine and rare, with only a maximum of 16 of the Gothic 'z' and surely unique with the albino surcharge (SG £350++) (Image)

image 1896 (Nov 15) 2 1/2 on 1 1/2a sepia, type 6 surcharge, in mint block of 6 from R8-9/1-3 of the setting, each stamp with SURCHARGE DOUBLE, ONE ALBINO (the albino impression clearly offset on the gum), three stamps unmounted, the "Zanzibar" overprints from Hall's setting "C", with normal second "z" on R8/1 and 9/3, small second "z" on R8/2 and 9/1-2, and tall second "z" on R8/3, while R9/3 shows diagnostic "dot between z and i", an exceptional and very rare multiple, with only 768 issued of the basic stamp (SG £2'100+) Provenance: Ex Feer (SGA 22/5/68, lot 328).
