PENNY BLACKS - Sep. 1840 1d Mulready lettersheet (poor) to BURSLEM with printed advert; 1851 piece with 1d red imperf, cut into, and tied by fine blue BURSLEM cds cancel, (SG £2500). Aug. 1841 EL to London franked with 1d black (TG plate 2, looks four margin but lower and right margins have possibly been added) with BURSLEM udc on the front; Feb. 1841 EL to Stone franked with fine four mostly large margin 1d black, FC plate 1b, tied with black MX and ETRURIA udc at left; and 1856 half E from London franked with C6 1d red block of four, BE-CF plate 17.
