War Records" PPCs) tracing the movement of the 3 main NZ brigades & the short-lived 4th brigade. The colln illustrates fully the frequently changing F.P.O. d/ss that were used (following a consistent pattern).

After being wounded, he was sent to a military hospital. Readdressed "Interpreter, 2nd Auckland Battalion, B.E.F." then "Addressee in hospital. Name of hospital not known". Fine red h/s "NOT 2 A.I.B" (ie: not 2nd Auckland Infantry Battalion). B/s NZ Advanced Base A.P.O. 12 JU 16 & Boulogne cds 16.5.16. Cover very worn. Interpreter mail is rarely seen.
