1914R Whitehead & Co (Melbourne) PPC 'Badger River, Healesville' with printed heading 'Australian Imperial Expeditionary Force/1914' on the address-side, to Victoria from a soldier on board a troopship with message "... orders came out today saying that all letters were to be returned ... we are not allowed to say were [sic] we are or what we are doing ...", Kangaroo 1d tied Albany (WA) cds of 31OC14 (struck with town name illegible; perhaps on purpose) and censored with rare ship-board fancy-boxed 'PASSED' cachet in violet initialled, minor blemishes. The only such card we have seen.

1915-19 group all with KGV frankings (mostly 1d reds) comprising patriotic illustrated envelope showing Flags of the Allied Nations with Liverpool (NSW) cds, 'Military Camp, Bathurst' envelopes x3 one with 'BATHURST MILITARY CAMP/NSW' cds, 'Soldiers' Club, Goulburn' envelopes x3, '18TH BATTALION/COMFORT FUNDS' cachet & 'HOLDSWORTHY CAMP/NSW' cds on plain covers, OHMS covers from various units with 'OS' punctures x5, plus mail to servicemen overseas returned undeliverable x7 including two endorsed "Deceased", condition variable.

1916 Tidworth Camp (UK) Letter Card with eight views of barracks, etc stapled inside, sent to Victoria with lengthy personal message and Great Britain KGV 1d red tied 'AIF CAMP PO/2' cds & fine '1ST TRAINING BATTALION FPO/11NOV1916/AIF' triple-ring oval h/s alongside, couple of minor blemishes.
1918 covers to Australian POWs at Soltau Camp in Hannover, two addressed directly the others via the Red Cross in London, each with KGV 1d x3 or unnecessarily with ½d & 1d x2, from NSW x2, Queensland or Western Australia (with printed address including "Soltan" error, and boxed 'PASSED BY/CENSOR 1' h/s in blue of Perth).
