1914 R Whitehead & Co (Melbourne) PPC 'Badger River, Healesville' with printed heading 'Australian Imperial Expeditionary Force/1914' on the address-side, to Victoria from a soldier on board a troopship with message "... orders came out today saying that all letters were to be returned ... we are not allowed to say were [sic] we are or what we are doing ...", Kangaroo 1d tied Albany (WA) cds of 31OC14 (struck with town name illegible; perhaps on purpose) and censored with rare ship-board fancy-boxed 'PASSED' cachet in violet initialled, minor blemishes. The only such card we have seen.
