image "1d." Surcharges 1882c.: Second, later Setting, 1 d. on 5 s. green, the remarkable unused pane of 60 from the left pane of the sheet, showing surcharges Type 3b (22 examples), Type 3c (5), Type 3d (30) and Type 3e (3); of outstanding freshness and vivid colour, the top nine stamps in the last column and the penultimate stamp at base all showing the 'break in bar' variety, the block incompletely separated between sixth and seventh rows and minor separation between seventh and eighth rows with precautionary hinges, a few minor imperfections, large part or unmounted og. This multiple represents the unique recorded pane from the left side of the sheet - the Tapling and Durell museum collections each only boast a right pane. Abbott, Harmers, London, 17-20 June 1968; Collection 'Tobias', Spink, London, 15 July 2010, lot 2312. (Image 1) (Image 2) (Image)
