1935 KGV SILVER JUBILEE COLLECTION INCL. EGYPT: SG 'Oriel' album in slip case with the collection of mint & used sets of the 1935 Silver Jubilee issue. Appears complete but for 3 or 4 missing stamps (easily replaceable low values). The sets are either mint or used, with 2 or 3 sets being mixed. Includes a good mounted mint example of the scarce Egyptian 1p ultramarine overprinted British Forces stamp SG A10 (£400). Lot also incl. additional HK 3c & 5c each in unmounted mint blocks of 14. UNIVERSAL POSTAL UNION: Group of eight binders with the UPU thematic collection of mint & used stamps and covers, etc. Earlier material somewhat patchy but incl. Spain 1920 low values, Sweden 1924 to 2kr used, scarce 1934 Egypt issue to £1 used, etc. Also a group of five Presentation Folders from the Paris 1947 Congress with the issues of Antigua, Barbados, Montserrat, Sierra Leone & Zanzibar - all showing a bit of wear, but scarce. Two volumes are dedicated to the 1949 75th. Anniversary, one for 'Foreign' issues and the other for the British Commonwealth omnibus issues, mainly mint with a few covers. A further binder is dedicated to the 1974 Centenary issues and another binder to Roland Hill. Lot also includes a collection of early issues from various South/Central American countries which are inscribed "UPU" plus a range of used and unused Postal Stationary cards from various countries which are also inscribed "UPU" in some form.
