NEVIS: 1862-90 mint and used comprehensive collection arranged on 7 Hager sheets and 4 album pages including 1862 1s. (3, one mint), 1867-76 1s. blue-green (7, one mint), 1s. yellow-green (6 used), 1871-78 6d (14, ten mint including a pair and four used), 1s. pale green (10, seven mint including a block of four and three used), 1s. deep green (5, three mint), 1879-80 1d bisected on piece (2 on two different pieces), 1882-90 2½d red brown (6, two mint), 6d. and 1s. 'specimen' (2 mint), 1882-90 ½d (3) and 1d (9) with crowned "PAID AT NEVIS" cds, 1882 postal fiscals duplicated range to 1s.; also a plate proof of the 4d and few forgeries, generally good to fine (hundreds); Est £1600-£2000

image NEVIS: 1862-83 mint and used collection (65) on leaves, mixed condition as to be expected. 'Spring' issues well represented with SG 4 unused (traces of gum); page from the collection of Dr. Byam (RDP) with retouches on SG 17 including #1 in pair, gummed, #9 patchy gum (RPS Cert of 1938 mentioning a defect at base which we cannot see) and #12 unused; a further part o.g. pair with #1 retouch. 1879 1d part o.g. and used, 1882 values including 4d blue unused and 1/- o.g. and better used with 1d lilac, 2½d, 4d blue and 6d, and two ½d on 1d bisects on pieces with violet handstamps, one slightly foxed. Interesting group of Revenues including faked 'A09' cancels on SG F3 and 4; Est £350-£450 (Image)
