Piece of gummed Third Watermark paper (82x136mm) from the top left corner of the left pane with 12 impressions (4x3) from the dandy roll & 'GE' of 'POSTAGE' in the margin, stamp area unmounted.
6d brown Broken Leg ACSC 21(3)d being the second unit in a corner block of 4 on local registered cover (folded for display) with central Adelaide cds of 17MA24. A rare albeit philatelic franking: unpriced on cover.
9d indigo-violet punctured 'OS', a few irregular perfs. Unrecorded shade, believed to exist punctured 'OS' only. Chris Ceremuga Certificate (2011) states 'indigo-violet' but ACSC 27C which the catalogue states is 'deep violet'.
10/- grey & pink, £1 bistre-brown & blue (weak L/L corner perf) and £2 purple-black & carmine (exceptional perfs & centring, small hinge remainder), Cat $11,250. A very fine-looking trio.
£1 grey, exceptional centring, horizontal bend not visible from the face, unmounted, Cat $3750 (£650+ mounted). Chris Ceremuga Certificate (2012) states "superb", indicating that the bend happened after the certificate was issued.
PUNCTURED 'OS': 2d to 5/- complete including Dies of the 2d 3d 6d blue 9d & 1/-, variable centring, the 9d Die II is creased, mostly very lightly mounted & the 2/- brown is unmounted, Cat $7400 (£2400 mounted).
