image 1950 four registered envelopes with various KGVI low value defin combinations, each with National Thanksgiving Fund charity label affixed and tied by Leadenhall St. B.O 31.MR.50 c.d.s. The labels were available at post offices but had no postal validity and were not popular with many P.O staff. The charity was set up to express Britains gratitude to the Commonwealth and the USA for their gift parcels and bulk food supplies since 1940. A very unusual group. (Image)
