1871 Assembly of used stamps and small pieces, mainly multiples and blocks, a total of twenty two items, including a very rare block of eight of the 25 c. brown value, fault to the right side and slight crease, also a block of four and horizontal strip of four of the same value, a strip of four and two strips of three of the 20 c. blue together with five pairs, block of four 10 c. orange-brown, damaged, two blocks of four 5 c. yellowish green together with a strip of four and strip of three, a block of four of the 1 c. olive green and some singles of each of these values, all signed by Brun, some faults and imperfections but some fine, an extremely rare group.

Cover 12 Kreuzer light bistre in large size, unused, without official cancellation mark. On face inconspicuous fold marks and slightly horizontal fold. One of the scarcest postal stationaries of old Germany, we have registered only 5 wide pieces (mostly with cancellation mark).

H. and back; reverse with Rebut label "Als unbestellbar urkundlich eröffnet ...", with embossed seal stamp "COMMISSION ZUR ERÖFFNUNG UNBESTELLBARER RETOUR-BRIEFE IN CARLSRUHE". Small marginal defect and somewhat descoloured on face. An exceptionally scarce piece; only a few similar covers registered from Baden.

H. und retour; rückseitig mit Rebut-Zettel "Als unbestellbar urkundlich eröffnet …", mit geprägtem Siegelstempel "COMMISSION ZUR ERÖFFNUNG UNBESTELLBARER RETOUR-BRIEFE IN CARLSRUHE". Kleiner Randfehler und vorderseitig etwas verfärbt. Einen außerordentlich seltenes Stück; von Baden nur wenige ähnliche Belege registriert.

Attractive and fine condition. One of the most attractive examples of this extremely scarce postal stationary.

Umschlag 3 Kreuzer rosa mit Zufrankatur 1868,1 Kreuzer grün, waagerechter Dreierstreifen, Paar und 2 Einzelstücke, alle farbfrisch und einwandfrei gezähnt, mit sauber aufgesetztem DKr. "CARLSRUHE 4NOV." (1871) nach Florenz mit Ankunftsstempel. Die Frankatur ist tadellos, der Umschlag gereinigt, der Name des Adressaten nachgemalt und ein Einriss in der Verschlussklappe repariert. "43" and adjacent red Ra2 "FREIBURG 11.Dec. 51" on complete small folded cover to Baron Rudolph von Türckheim, written by his mother, to Pola in Istria. The letter is franked with 9 Kreuzer association fee and 6 Kreuzer transit fee for a transport via Switzerland. On the reverse cancellation of the Baden Travelling Post Office, transit postmark of Trieste and arrival postmark. According to the postal treaty of 1849, the letters were taken from the Efringen railway station to the Baden postoffice in Basel and from there transported in closed parcels via Italy to Trieste. 3 Kreuzer auf orangegelb und 2 Einzelwerte 6 Kreuzer auf blaugrün, einer etwas angeschnitten, sonst meist voll- bis breitrandig, mit klar aufgesetzter Nr. "43" und nebengesetztem roten Ra2 "FREIBURG 11.Dez. 51" auf komplettem kleinen Faltbrief an den Freiherrn Rudolph von Türckheim, geschrieben von seiner Mutter, nach Pola in Istrien. Der Brief ist mit 9 Kreuzern Vereinsgebühr und 6 Kreuzern Transitgebühr für einen Transport über die Schweiz portogerecht frankiert. Rückseitig Stempel der Badischen Bahnpost, Durchgangsstempel von Triest und Ankunftsstempel. Nach dem Postvertrag von 1849 wurden die Briefe von der Bahnstation Efringen ins Badische Postamt Basel gebracht und von dort in geschlossenen Paketen über Italien nach Triest befördert.
