image United States, James Buchanan Exhibit, Incoming Foreign Usages, Cuba, Havana to Paris Via Savannah, Dec. 24, 1858 routed Havana, Savannah, New York, Liverpool, Paris, very scarce "Havana" marking applied at Savannah with cds, letter sent unpaid, New York debited France 16¢ for single rate, France considered letter two rates (ms. "8", 8 grams) and marked 24¢ Postage Due (2x12), arrived in Paris Jan. 15, 1859, some discoloration, nice example of this Savannah marking .
