image 1905: Postal stationery card 2c. orange used from Killinek, Labrador to Elim, Cape of Good Hope, dated 'Killinek, Sept. 28th, 05', cancelled by oval of 8 bars, with circled "LABRADOR T.P.O. NEWF'D/OC 23/05" railway datestamp, "ST. JOHN/NO 7/05" transit cds as well as Elim '14 Dec 05' arrival cds, fine. A scarce postcard from Killiniq Island to the Cape Colony, requires 40 days from the island in the north to St. John, and 77 days in total to the Cape. (Image)
