1859-63 Covers from G.B to Victoria prepaid 1/2½ in cash, the first from Plympton sent on the "City of Washington" to New York then by American steamer via Panama to San Francisco with a fine red "SAN FRANCISCO / Paid" c.d.s; the second cover from Croydon sent on the "Asia to New York then overland by rail. An unusual pair, the first with a few minor edge faults. (2).

RY. M.C / BRIT COL" transit c.d.s (opening faults) and 1897 cover to France franked 15c, some faults, severe on the front. (5).
