Coiled Dragon frankings 1) Undivided Back uncaptioned temple to GB with 4c tied by Peking & British PO in Shanghai cds, creased; 2) & 3) Divided Backs Chas Gammon 'In a Chinese Village' (group of local children) and Tabuqueiria Filipina 'Chinese ploughing the ground' (peasants with buffalo) both to USA with 2c green pair & Japanese PO in Shanghai transits; 4) Undivided Back CH 'Shanghai - Soochon creek' (terrific view of boats approaching the pier) to Wales with 1c only & two other stamps removed; also two 1921 cards to Japan each with Junks ½c x3; and Peter Nissen (Hamburg) Undivided Back 'Gruss aus Shanghai' with rounded corners but unused.

1902 JM (Paris) Undivided Back artist card 'CHINE/LA COIFFURE/DE L'ANTIQUITE/A NOS JOURS' by Paul Dufresne being a series of hairstyles for fashionable women plus three dudes for good measure, unused. A really beautiful card.
1904 Alterocca Undivided Back artist card 'The Emperor of China gives andience [sic; for 'audience'] to the Foreign Ministers, soiled on the reverse, to GB with Hong Kong 4c tied by British PO in 'SHANGHAI' cds. An evocative image of both European imperialism & obsequiousness.

1952 colourful propaganda PPCs on quite flimsy stock featuring deliriously happy children doing all manner of Western activities and ethnic minorities struggling to crack a smile, three feature Chairman Mao, two with ink messages otherwise unused. Very early PRC emissions.

Tientsin: 1906 (circa) De Vinna (?) real photo card 'THE WAY THEY FIX ROADS IN TIENTSIN' of a pig-tailed overseer watching about 16 bare-footed men hauling a heavy concrete roller, unused. A fantastic social history card.
Tientsin: Undivided Back ¾-view of 'IMPERIAL HOTEL' with rickshaws in the street (unused); Franz Scholz (Tientsin) Undivided Back of a smiling dwarf (very fine unused); and framed coloured views of 'Astor House hotel' & 'International Bridge' both used under cover, minor soiling.
