image QV-KGV COLLECTION INC. UDCs, MXs, DUPLEXES, SQUARED CIRCLES, RUBBERS, ETC: Marks & cancels from a wide range of towns, mostly hand-picked for quality strikes with many scarcer types. Several UDCs inc. the rare Bildestone type on 1847 EL, also Barton & Bramford, fine 17 Jul. 1841 E to Wymondham with fine black MX of Bungay cancelling Pl.13 1d red, also 1843 front to London with Needham Market MX; range of better squared circles inc. scarce Lakenheath plus Felixstowe (2), Halesworth (2), Haverhill, Ipswich (12), Sudbury, Stonham (a very scarce mark) & Woolpit (2); good selection of rubbers (c.18) on KEVII/KGV PPCs. Also of note a damaged ½d brown P. Stat card cancelled by the very rare Brandon "114" duplex with asterisk code "L*P" dated 22 Jan. 1896. A good lot, fine throughout. (c.134) (Image)

Includes c.1750 "SUD/BURY", 1782 "YOXFORD" s/l mark on fragile EL to Westminster, 1788 "62 NEW/MARKET" mileage mark on EL to Newark (SFK 500), "MILDENHALL/72" mileage mark on Jan. 1821 wrapper to London, etc. Other mileage marks inc. Aldeburgh, Brandon, Bury St. Edmunds, Clare, Eye, Framlingham, Ipswich, Ixworth, Wymondham, Woolpit, etc. Several "EYE" UDCs noted plus Ipswich "1d PAID" marks, etc. A fine assembly with many scarce marks.
