1875-1901 Issues on annotated exhibit pages mostly used with a wide range of perfs and shades plus many varieties including Double Overprints, Inverted Overprints including 2½d indigo SG O83a mint, Misplaced Overprints, Missing Stops including a remarkable 2d pair 'O.S. - O S ' SG O44/e, etc, generally very fine. An excellent basis for expansion. [NB: many of the varieties are much scarcer than the Gibbons prices would suggest]

OVERPRINTED 'O.S.' TYPE 'O1': 1874-76 Perf 12½x11½ 2d orange SG O42, a couple of short perfs, GPO cds of MY20/74 (the First Day of Issue noted by Gibbons), grossly undercatalogued at £160. Ex Lieut FH Napier. Philatelic Society of London Certificate (1902) signed "ED Bacon/for Expert/Committee". [Stated by our vendor to be "probably the only known example"]
OVERPRINTED 'O.S.' TYPE 'O3' (WIDE SPACING): 1891 Wide 'O. S.' on 'POSTAGE & REVENUE' 2/6d pale violet SG O86, exceptional centring, lightly mounted large-part o.g., Cat £8500. One of the finest examples of this rare stamp, with none of the gum-bends that are usually found. [The last very fine example we offered sold at the Prestige auction of 24.5.2008 for $10,925]
OVERPRINTED 'O.S.' TYPE 'O3' (WIDE SPACING): 1891 'POSTAGE & REVENUE' 2/6d pale violet SG O86, excellent centring, ironed-out creases at the base, neat GPO cds of SE15/92, Cat £6500. [The 'Besancon' (III) example - minor bend at base - sold for SFr3388]
