Ryukyus, Airmail, 1959, 3rd Issue surcharged, 9¢ on 15y blue green, surcharge inverted (Scott C14a), with split bars as usual, sheet margin single, o.g., never hinged, very scarce error, almost perfectly centered, highly sought after; slight tropical toning, otherwise Extremely Fine, only two sheets of 50 were ever discovered, with 1963 Nina S. Thomas letter of authenticity.
