image Russia, Collection of Better, 1857-1966, housed in a Lindner stockbook with 17 two-sided, 8-pocket pages plus eight sheet pages; comprises singles, blocks, and full sheets, with vast majority mint; items on individually identified and priced cards; the holding kicks off with a used #1 with numeral "577" cancel, and continues with a solid range of early Coat-of-Arms issues including a used gutter pair of #19, hinged block of four #19a, a trio used on piece, and several used larger multiples; several Romanov blocks of four are present, as are numerous EFOs including #85a (mint pair), 87 with center misplaced (mint block of four), various offsets, etc.; strong early Soviet issues, often in blocks or gutters, including shades, misperforations, thin & thick paper varieties, as well as an array of issues from the 1940s-60s; note also #B5a-B7a with Specimen overprints, "broken lance" #B13, watermarked #B14, B15 var, B17; Airs portraying Zeppelins; a 20k Homeless Children essay, watermarked and unwatermarked, each block of four, etc., etc.; clean and fresh throughout, Fine to Very Fine with much better throughout, over $20,000 in marked retail value; an enticing lot for the Russia specialist or dealer; be sure to view. image Russia, Mint & Used Dealers' Stock, 1857-1990s, over 2500 mint & used stamps housed every way possible: two stockbooks, a sheet file, and scads of glassines; overwhelmingly mint (though one stockbook with nice array of early to mid-range used); better includes mint #5 (6), 6, 7 (2), 8 (3), 45, 294-301, plus glassines of mint, with many blocks of four or larger including positional pieces, stockpages of modern souvenir sheets, miniature sheets, etc.; small stack of First Day Covers mainly ca. 1969-71, but with a few postal stationery First Days from the late 1980s as well; fabulous opportunity to restock inexpensively, Fine to Very Fine, inspection invited. image Russia, Ready-Made Mint Collection Stock, 1963-99, housed in seven Lighthouse or Schaubek stockbooks; appears highly complete, comprising most issues as single examples, though there are some in blocks or lightly duplicated; the occasional used item, but 99.9% never hinged; note several shade varieties, imperforate pairs (many marginal), tête-bêche blocks of four, several part-sheets, souvenir and miniature sheets, plus a number of First Day- or commemorative-cancelled covers, including a 1963 Cosmonauts Day cover and 1964 maximum card, both autographed by Yuri Gagarin; vibrant color and fresh paper throughout; if you're a collector, you just need an album; if you're a dealer, show these to your customers, Very Fine, well worth review.
