ST. LEU - RARE BLUE LOCALLY PRODUCED HANDSTRUCK "6" ON COVER TO FRANCE; 3 July 1860 env. (small stains on front just clear of markings) to Montpellier in France "via Suez" with a mainly fine very scarce blue 2-ring "St. LEU/ILE DE L[A REUNIO]N" cds on the front matching a very fine strike of the very rare locally produced St. Leu P.O. Handstruck "6" charge-mark on the front along with a red 2-ring "COLONIES FRA. V SUEZ" cds (3 Aug.). Few examples of this special Handstruck "6" from the small P.O. of St. Leu have been recorded.
