1868 Folded Trans-Atlantic ‘Bill-of-Lading’ accompanying letter regarding a shipment of ‘100 Bags of Fire Clay’ written at Liverpool 1 JY to Toronto, manuscript notation ‘pr St. Devenick’ top left, travelled by favour across the ocean, placed in the mails 14 AU at Montreal and rated handstamp ‘5’ (¢) to Toronto with next day receiver on back, filing folds, light toning and some fold separation (one corner missing), otherwise fine and still presentable.
