1928 International Exhibition 3d Kookaburra M/S central position (perforations on all sides) with Exhibition cds in red ACSC 133MSw, CTO with full unmounted o.g., Cat $475+, for no gum. Superb.
1928 International Exhibition 3d M/S from the left of the sheet, CTO with the Exhibition cds of 29OC28 being the First Day of Issue in green ACSC 133MSwa, lightly mounted in the margins, the stamps are unmounted, Cat $675+, for no gum). [For many years, successive editions of the ACSC referred to cancellations in red or "green", with no reference to blue strikes. Consequently, the common blue impressions were routinely, and erroneously, called "green". The 1994 edition was the first to list all three colours. The catalogue value is demonstrably conservative; at least two examples have sold at auction for more than $1000]

1932 Opening of the Sydney Harbour Bridge 5/- green corner block of 4 from the upper-left of the sheet, light per favor postal cds '.../3AP39/VIC' struck centrally in the nature of CTO, no gum, Cat $1600+, for postally used singles (£900+, for CTO singles). Superb.
1932 Sydney Harbour Bridge Letterpress 2d red complete sheet of 88 (8x11) with John Ash Imprint in the central gutter ACSC 149zd, unmounted, Cat $915+. The only Australian issue with this unusual sheet format. A similar sheet with a couple of tiny blemishes sold at our auction of 16.5.2023 for $1080.

1935 KGV Silver Jubilee 2d Plate 2 John Ash Imprint block of 4 with Sweeping Arc through '2' at Right ACSC 166(2)zd, a few tonespots, unmounted, Cat $575. Very scarce.
1936 Submarine Cable 2d scarlet & 3d blue affixed to Postmaster-General's presentation card ACSC 170ya, Cat $875. Possibly the finest example we have offered. ['Tillie Mitchell's example sold at our auction of 29.8.2020 for $748]
1937-49 Definitives Perf 15x14 4d Koala ACSC 198 (SG 188) with Grossly Misplaced Perforations both Horizontally & Vertically, contemporary slogan cancel. A dramatic error that is not listed in trhe ACSC, and which is greatly enhanced for being postally used.
1937-49 Definitives Perf 15x14 Platypus 9d sepia block of 16 (2x8) from the top left corner of the sheet with Grossly Misplaced Perforations at Top resulting in the upper units being Imperforat at Top ACSC 206ba, the next pair including chunks of the upper units, and the third pair with Jumped Perfs at the Top, also with Authority Imprint at the Base, the upper six units unmounted, Cat $10,000+ for two mounted units. The ACSC states that the only recorded sheet was divided into five blocks, each with the top two units imperf at top. This may well be the finest of them. [Arthur Gray's similar mounted block sold in 2017 for £3240]
1937-49 Robes 10/- & £1 both with 'SPECIMEN' Overprint, in circa 1944 original collector's pack with 15 other CTO stamps to 5/- (1/6d & 2/- each with a rounded corner), unmounted, Cat $1875 (£475) just for the Specimen Overprints. RPSofL Certificate (2023) for the £1.

1941 War Tax Surcharges '2½d' on 2d scarlet with Medallion Flaw ACSC 222d (SG 200b) being the second unit in a horizontal pair, unmounted, Cat $575 (£450).
1948-56 Coat of Arms 10/- £1 & £2 overprinted 'SPECIMEN', the £2 with the Overprint Significantly Misplaced 5mm Downwards (below 'AUSTRALIA'), well centred, lightly mounted. We do not recall having previously see this variety, and it is not listed in the ACSC.

1948-56 Coat of Arms 10/- purple overprinted 'SPECIMEN' with 'SPEOIMEN' Error ACSC 269xd, lightly mounted, Cat $5750. Rare: occurred only on Pos [19] for only one printing & was then corrected. Tillie Mitchell's similar but unmounted example (Cat $7500) sold at our auction of 29.8.2020 for $4552.
1948-56 Coat of Arms £2 green overprinted 'SPECIMEN' with 'SPEOIMEN' Error ACSC 271xc, well centred, lightly mounted, Cat $5750. Rare: occurred only on Pos [19] for only one printing & was then corrected. This is the first example we have offered as a single for many years. An unmounted set each with the 'SPEOIMEN' error - Cat $22,500 - sold at our auction of 27.2.2017 for $20,400.
1951-52 KGVI Definitives KGVI 3½d brown block of 4 apparently Imperf at Right but caused by Jumped Perforations ACSC 253ba, the upper units lightly mounted, the lower units unmounted, Cat $2750+.
1951-52 KGVI Definitives 6½d brown horizontal strip of 4 from the right of the sheet Imperforate at Right caused by Major Jumped Perforations ACSC 255b, unmounted, Cat $1500+ for mounted; unpriced unmounted. Superb. Ex 'Dubois (Part I) - sold for SFr488.
1950s-60s issues in full sheets including KGVI 3d red booklet panes, QEII 3d 3½d & 5d, etc, plus Commemoratives, also a few part-sheets, many with Perf Pips in the margins, unchecked for other varieties.

1953 Young Farmers 3½d with the Vignette (Calf & Children) Misplaced Up and Left ACSC 303c variant, very fine part-Boyup Brook (WA) cds of OCT53 (a month after the stamp was issued on 3.9.1953), Cat $500+. The ACSC listing is for misplacement of the vignette to the base, of which at least one sheet of 100 was obtained intact by a collector and no used examples have been recorded. The upwards shift is of extreme rarity, and should be given its own catalogue entry. The ACSC states "One used stamp showing an upward misplacement is recorded". That stamp is illustrated: it is poorly centred (with a generic machine cancellation). The stamp offered here, a new discovery, is obviously from a different sheet. It is quite well centred and the displacement is both to the top and to the left.
