1896 Crown CA 2d, 4d, 6d and 1/- overprinted "SPECIMEN", additionally handstamped circular "POSTES / CORREOS" presumably applied by the receiving postal authority, 2d with small thin at top, otherwise fine and unusual, the first example of this circular handstamp we have seen. Both covers backstamped at Tanga, Chinde, Fort Johnston and Kota Kota (squared circle), the first also backstamped at Dar-es-Salaam, the second also backstamped at Durban, Kimberley, Salisbury, Beira and Chiromo.
